Arnaq tells the myth of the Mother of the Sea. Resumé in english below ↓↓↓

Welcome back to another Inuit ASMR video! We had some problems with lighting (we used natural light, so it all changed during the filming of the video) and you may notice that sometimes the video is overexposed and sometimes the colors change. We hope you will bear with us - we are learning as we go.

The Mother of the Sea is a myth about a young girl who was sailing with an older man and her little puppy. The man tried to kill both of them, by throwing them in the ocean and cutting off some of her fingers. She didn't die in the icy water. Nor did her dog. Instead they settled under the ocean where they lived. Until one day, trash was falling down and landed in her hair, where the animals were tangled and caught.

At land, the villages were starving, since their source of food was now empty. The shaman took it upon him to investigate what had happened. He encounters the mother of the sea. She being mad at humans, they start fighting. At last she's getting tired and he is able to comb through her hair and cleans of the trash thrown by humans.

The animals are now released back to the nature.

The sound is shot on two Sennheiser MKH50 to a ZOOM H6 recording in 24 bit 96khz. Even with YouTubes compression the sound is very crisp and (to our mind) good for ASMR. We hope you enjoy!

NB: Arnaq has kindly pointed out to me that the language is Kalaalisut and not Inuktitut. I've changed the title accordingly.
