ASMR Whispered Indie Gameplay: Let's Play... Quietly!

Join me for a particularly bloodthirsty edition of a potential new series: soft spoken and whispered ASMR gaming. I'm not the best gamer so you'll have to bear with my clumsy play-style 'til I figure this thing out! Today we're playing the spooky indie survival game, Don't Starve Together. I had the idea of trying this out during a conversation with a friend who watches Spanish 'Let's Play' videos to learn the language: she told me there was something comforting and relaxing about watching them, and PING - I had to have a go. I hope you find it relaxing, despite the subject matter!

What is ASMR?

ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a relaxing sensation that can be described as "tingles" felt in the head, brain or scalp. People who experience ASMR report that it induces feelings of deep relaxation, calm, and can help in falling sleep. Common ASMR triggers include whispering, soft speaking, personal attention and care, tapping, scratching, hand sounds and hand movements, water and spray bottle sounds, ear massage and ear cleaning, and many more.
