Relax with Michael Myers | ASMR

"Once again, you find yourself secured in a comfortable exam chair in one of the many Arkham Sanitarium treatment rooms. Funny, you didn't even realize you had a session planned for today. As you sit patiently waiting and wondering which doctor will be performing the A.S.M.R. (Arkham Sanitarium Method of Relaxation) session, you can't help but notice how unusually quiet it is. In fact, it's dead quiet. No passing footsteps in the hall outside the room. No murmuring of the sanitarium staff or other resident patients, and you can usually at least make out the Professor, Margaret, or Corvus among the voices, but you can't hear any of them. There are no announcements to be heard over the loud speaker, and not even the faintest hum of electricity. It’s almost as if you’re the only one there. Just as you start to wonder if something's wrong, that's when a new, yet strangely familiar face enters the room.

This is partly based on viewer request. I should have done this back around Halloween of 2018 in honor of the latest installment in the franchise. But I wasn't even fully aware of the new movie until it was too late, as the mask used in this video (purchased from https://Trickortreatstudios.com ) was for pre-order only and was sold out by the time I got around to the idea. Also, as I've grown older, I haven't really been following or into horror flicks as much as when I was as a teen in the 80's. I couldn't get enough of them back then: Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, Evil Dead, Phantasm, Child's Play, Rawhead Rex, Poltergeist, Creepshow, Day of the Dead, The Howling, Aliens, and so many others. Strangely enough, I was never a big fan of the Halloween series. Fast forward to April 2019, and the mask was made available for purchase again. I then finally watched the movie, and I'm glad I did, because it's one of the best, IMO. So here we are. Better late than never, right!? I hope you enjoy, especially if you're a fan of the movies. This is a parody of sorts, as Michael Myers meets "Rift World", the universe I've created that runs among certain videos here on my channel.

What is ASMR?

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a non-scientific word that an everyday person came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.

ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles", but the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.
