This is a 23-minute Yoga Nidra or Meditation practice for those of us who find discomfort in physical stillness or are busy with householder duties but still want the benefits of presence and mindfulness in our lives. While so much benefit can be found in intentional rest this is not the only way to access peace and these practices can be accessible to all folk. Whether you are neuro-diverse, a trauma survivor, or anything else that causes anxiety or discomfort in physical stillness, this Yoga Nidra practice is for you.

When I first started meditation and Yoga Nidra I used to do it while I was walking, this allowed me to concentrate better on the present moment without the distraction of my screaming insides when I was still. I still have days even now where I need to combine movement of some kind with my practice and I have other days where I bask in the juiciness of stillness. Work with what you have and what you can do in this moment. You absolutely can be a great meditator and a great peaceful yogi, even if you can't sit still.
