(be ready for some yap about driving lessons)
Been a bit exhausted lately, I'm going on holiday soon with my family so trying to cram everything into a short period of time. I've been taking driving lessons, I HATE driving where I live, it's awful. ;'( My instructor is really kind but we have absolutely nothing in common and he talks extremely fast during the lesson so I can't understand what he says but also trying to figure it out distracts me, he talks a lot, he's been to war, and he loves cycling, going out drinking to the pub, hiking, everything traditionally British basically, he's very extroverted and he's a lot older with a lot of life experience. I'm basically the opposite, I've barely got much real life experience, I like to read, figure skate, draw, do photography, play video games, collect toys & makeup, and learn japanese lol. Most of the stuff he talks about I don't really understand (mostly because he talks very fast), so I'm trying to sound interested but I'm mostly confused, but also feel bad because I don't want to sound uninterested because he's really nice and a very cool person. I spent most of our last lesson trying to convince him to go and see HTTYD LMAOOO. I wish I learned to drive years ago, it's just so tedious and I'm constantly getting tailgated even though I do the speed limit. I have to do these mirror checks and I swear I'm barely even registering the mirrors because I'm focusing on a million other things. He was like "Oh the clutch it a bit jolty in this car" and whenever it doesn't change gears when I push it down, he laughs and makes a joke. It's pretty funny actually, but equally stressful lol. I learned a manual start after stalling, which I've already forgotten ;_; He makes me do this shoulder check over roundabouts whilst I'm trying to change gears and I swear I almost drive into the roundabout every time (I'm over-exaggerating, I'm not really that bad of a driver). My foot has started to hurt from the clutch, I didn't even know those muscles would get sore, and my whole right side is tense from driving as well. For how much I'm paying for these lessons I thought I'd be extremely excited for them. I can't wait to take a test and get my license. ;')
(also random but I did silver shimmery makeup inspired by Natalie Portman's makeup in black swan, I never use shimmers, only glitter, and I LOVEEE it AHHH! I want more shimmery eyeshadow now!!!)
Currently listening to a playlist I made for the ice rink, I put my favourite songs in it that are rink appropriate. 'The way you are' last dinosaurs, 'solitude' hybrid minds. I've gotten rid of sleeping with sirens, I don't think 'shut me up' by mindless self indulgence will make the cut either lol. I realised I really like a lot of emo music, metal, screamo. I had to get rid of sewerslvt because I think it would obliterate the ice rink speakers. I had some jungle dnb, but they're a bit too funky for the ice rink taste and I don't want them to ask me not to play my music again LOL. I added porter robinson as well, I thought the best song for the rink would be 'is there really no happiness'. Of course I added my favourite, Deftones, entombed and 976-evil. I was gonna add a Tool song but they're honestly all kinda long. I put in some Avril Lavigne as well :D and 'iris' pastel ghost, some things like that.
I feel a bit burnt out at the moment, I've had some studying to do (for a qualification for a school I'm applying to soon). I'm dying to play bloodborne but I haven't had the time. I managed to play like 1 hour in the last 2 weeks. I'm at the forbidden woods now. I was thinking "maybe I can bring the PS4 on holiday!!! I can bring bloodborne with me!!" but that's really stupid isn't it, going to a hot country to play video games. So I won't be doing that. ;')
