Biased: The New Science of Race & Inequality by Jennifer Eberhardt (Looks at unconscious racial bias and how it affects the treatment of Black people, good for understanding the WHY/HOW)

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas [Fiction] (Highly recommend watching the movie afterwards, it’s one of my favourites)

Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson (Which I’ve discovered is now also a film!)

WATCH
The Thirteenth on Netflix (Excellent documentary discussing how after the 13th amendment abolished slavery it was simply replaced with mass incarceration of Black people which continues to have repercussions to this day)
