This video is for you if you are a victim of Emotional Abuse, either as a child or as an adult. In it I am going to show you how to recover from emotional abuse. It is likely that if you were emotionally abused as a child you will have gone on to be emotionally abused in your adult relationships. This is because emotional abuse damages your self-esteem resulting in you feeling as if you deserve to be treated badly and this belief draws you into relationships with those that will abuse you.
In this video I will talk you through 5 steps that will enable you to protect yourself and recover from the emotional abuse.
If you are not ready to seek professional help the following resources may be helpful for you in the meantime, however, ultimately I would recommend that you enable a trained therapist or other mental health professional help you to heal.

** MORE ABOUT ME **
I am the Lead Clinical Psychologist at The British CBT & Counselling Service and find that I am often the first person with whom my patients share significant and intimate thoughts and memories. I feel at ease being a therapist, I feel I can empathise with people’s distress and discomfort but don’t feel overwhelmed by it, I can understand their problem and know how to help, it has always just felt like what I should be doing.
