Hi Kindred Spirits!
This is a video that I made back in 2021 for another channel.
I thought that some of you would enjoy seeing it and find it useful if you are cooking your first Thanksgiving meal.
It is not an ASMR video, but it is very helpful, and I think you will enjoy it.
If you have any questions at all, leave them in the comments and I will be happy to help!
xoxo,
Lindy

Hello there!
If you've ever felt intimidated about hosting Thanksgiving dinner or preparing side dishes to take to someone's home. I've got you covered, my friend.
Just pretend I am your "Aunt Lindy" and you are spending 30 minutes with me- where I go over the basics.
I did not include a dessert recipe with this, but I do have a recipe for Fudge Pie on this channel that you could make and take. It is easy!
Timestamps are below.
Thanks for watching and good luck!
xoxo,
Lindy

Thanksgiving Turkey.
After rinsing off the outside and inside of the turkey, I stuffed it with half an orange half an onion, and three celery ribs. I rub butter all over it and also put butter between the meat and skin.
Bake at 375° covered the first couple of hours.
Then uncover and bake until internal temperature reaches 165°.

*Update on Using Freshly Laid Eggs!
My friend Christy says that you can steam fresh eggs for 15 minutes rather than boil them and they peel easily.
Thanks for the tip, Christy!
Deviled Eggs
(1 Egg makes two deviled eggs)
Place eggs in a pan of water and once the water boils - time the boil for eight minutes.
After eggs have boiled, peel and slice in half.
Remove the yolks and place them into a separate bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon pickle relish
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
Salt and pepper
Mix well and refill the egg white with this mixture.

Green Beans
Cook canned green beans along with bacon or country ham and chicken bullion. Taste delicious!

Sweet Potato Casserole
One can Bruce’s yams.
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg

Mix together the above ingredients well and put them into a casserole dish.
Top with marshmallows and pecans and bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until marshmallows turn brown.

Stovetop stuffing. Follow package directions. (Super easy and if you replace the water with chicken broth, it tastes even better!)
