(1817) Physician Conducts an Examination on You at Home ✍ Regency Era ASMR ✨ Soft Spoken Medical RP

In the early 1800s, it wasn't uncommon for well-to-do people to receive a doctor at their home if they were quite ill. Using the latest tools and techniques of the Regency Era, like the "hearing tube" and palpating your face for fever, the physician—hey, that's me!—will be examining you and prescribing the correct medicine to alleviate your dis-ease. Medicine a couple hundred years ago left some things to be desired, what with the opium in everything and alcohol used in remedies and the mercury, but I dare say this is a much more mild remedy for a much more mild illness and you should be in ship-shape soon!

I do have to give myself snaps that I managed to only slip and say "okay" twice, considering these videos are not scripted at all and I just write down a general run down of what steps I need to hit; the rest is improv. It's a lot harder than one thinks to eliminate as much modern slang as possible for an entire hour of monologuing, haha.

❥ What Is ASMR? From Oxford Languages: "a feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound. 'ASMR is triggered by things like whispering voices, paper tearing, and scalp massage.'"

❥ I want y'all to have a safe environment here regardless of where you come from, who you love, what you look like, you name it. I don't tolerate discrimination or hatred based on attributes you can't change like where you were born, what color you are, if you have a disability, or who you love– above all, be kind to one another. We're all just people, just trying to do our thing.

⭐ Fun fact! Jane Austen, the illustrious author of the Regency Era, was known for her works like Pride & Prejudice, Emma, and Sense & Sensibility. She was well ahead of her time—so much so that her claim to fame primarily arose after she passed away in 1817.

❥ Have a whale of a day and a good rest of your night! :)
