About the Master
Masahiro Furukawa is a Japanese stylist who spent many years working at a Jacques Dessange salon in Paris.
During his time there, he realized that conventional haircutting methods could not fully draw out the unique beauty of Asian hair.
It took him 7 years of research and hands-on experience to establish the original Silky Cut theory and perfect this specialized technique.

The Haircut: Silky Cut
Concept ("Cotton to Silk"): The technique was developed specifically for Asian hair. Traditional comparisons suggest Western hair is like "silk" (fine and soft with rounded head shapes), while Asian hair is more like "cotton" (thicker, coarser, with flatter head shapes). Silky Cut is designed to transform "cotton-like" Asian hair so that it looks and feels as smooth as silk.
The Technique: It uses a completely new haircutting theory that combines three unique cutting methods to finely adjust the hair's texture. It creates a soft, "cool & feminine" silhouette and brings out the hair's natural beauty without relying on chemical treatments.
The Result: The cut allows the hair to naturally settle into shape, making it very easy to manage and style at home without even needing to blow-dry it.
