In the Fall of 1961, Joan Risch dropped her daughter off across the street to a neighbor's house and said she would be back momentarily. The neighbor then watched her carry something mysterious out to her car while acting suspiciously. When her daughter returned home, Joan had disappeared into thin air, leaving nothing behind but a perplexing crime scene that may have pointed to something other than murder.
