The ultimate candy fruit

Do you like Tanghulu? The process of making tanghulu involves dipping the skewered fruit into hot caramelized sugar, which quickly hardens to create a sweet crunchy coating around the fruit. There are many kinds of tanghulu and the most popular ones in Korea right now are strawberries, mandarine oranges, shine muscat, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, sapphire grapes, and even pineapple. What's your favorite kind? The key is to microwave the syrup little by little until it thickens. "It's HOT!" - I just decided to pour the syrup onto the fruit.
I don't know if I can call this tanghulu but I tried gummy bear tanghulu. The gummy bear actually melted quite well in the microwave. I was praying that it wouldn't burst in my microwave. It looks pretty, and the melted gummy bears tasted just like the original gummy bears. But the texture was just not there. Would you try it?
