It's interesting how we can be so kind to others, yet feel that we need to be tough with ourselves...like, it's ever worked. I mean if it worked it would have worked by now.

Why do we beat ourselves to a pulp over our mistakes? There's a balance between ignoring the lessons from our mistakes and trashing ourselves to make sure we learn or keep ourselves in line.

Tell those rough words and voices that they can go back to the person they came from (they always came from someone and it's usually someone in our childhood). You don't need them anymore.
