ASMR: Capgras Delusion, The Doppelgänger Delusion | Ear-to-ear Whispering
Dear friends, today we are learning about the Capgras delusion. This is a very unique psychiatric phenomenon in which someone believes that a person close to them, such as a family member, has been replaced by an identical imposter. It seems to come at the intersection of neurological impairment and psychiatric illness, and it reveals mechanisms behind how we emotionally and cognitively view other people in our lives in a way that I find absolutely fascinating.
