Iron Wolf Legend: According to a medieval legend, the founding of Vilnius is associated with a dream of Grand Duke Gediminas, who dreamt of a howling iron wolf on a hill. A pagan priest interpreted the dream as a sign to build a city, and Vilnius was established.
