Come explore some local forgotten Austin locations with me!
The graveyard looks to be abandoned. Not sure if the person fighting for conservatorship ever finished. Would love to help restore some parts! It is a shame to see it in such ruin. Many of the the people laid to rest here were of African American descent as well. I feel that they deserve better.
The Sneed plantation as well should be marked as a historical landmark. It was originally built in the 1850s but was never fully completed due to the war. The home had 12* rooms and a large attic space to hold parties. Also, served as a Confederate recruiting station and, later, a hospital for soldiers.
