ASMR: Understanding the Ishihara Colour Vision Test

SRP ASMR
Published 4 years ago

Let's take this opportunity to simultaneously deliver some ASMR & explain a little more about the Ishihara colour vision test.
This is the follow-up to: https://youtu.be/obHHvpO3sh4 where some of you had some questions regarding certain plates.

Please note: I’m not checking your colour vision. I’m merely explaining the test. It should be performed by a qualified optical professional, in proper conditions, face to face. Anything else isn’t an accurate interpretation of your colour vision status.

What is ASMR? According to Wikipedia:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.
