ASMR Neurology Nerve Exam | Sensation and Proprioception Testing

Published 1 year ago

Welcome to the Cozy Hospital! You've come into our neurology department today due to concerns about numbness in your arm. Our neurologist will examine you carefully and then perform some different testing to see if she can find a diagnosis.

Much of this is inspired by Dr. Holly Berry, a doctor in a series of unintentional asmr videos. I've always wanted a first person role play version of one of her exams and so decided to make one. You can find videos of her here: https://www.youtube.com/c/aidanblunt

0:00 Intro
0:10 Getting your history
2:09 Examining you closely overall
3:14 Examining your arm
4:18 Examining the rest of your body, face exam

8:00 Examining your fingers
9:04 Touch your nose, touch my finger
10:58 Sensation testing, cotton ball
14:31 Sensation testing, wartenberg wheel
18:48 Sensation testing, tuning fork vibration

25:24 Blink to threat

Please be aware that this video is intended for entertainment, relaxation and ASMR purposes. It is not meant to diagnose, treat, educate or accurately depict issues or illnesses or procedures. Many of the procedures are altered for ASMR purposes and because I'm not filming in an actual medical facility. (Some of them are completely fictional they just involve neat sounds.) Please consult your doctor or a reputable health care source if you have any health questions or concerns.

What is ASMR? ASMR is a tingling sensation often felt on the scalp, neck, shoulders and back, although you may feel tingles in other places as well! ASMR is triggered by different types of stimuli. It can be personal attention, gentle touch, hand movements, crinkling, tapping sounds... there are lots of different types of ASMR triggers and everyone is different when it comes to what triggers their ASMR!
