WHAT YOU MUST DO AS A CHILD OF GOD.

Prayer: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18:  Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Jesus prayed and thought us how to pray. Matthew 6:9-15: The Lords Prayer. Pray because God has asked us to pray. Pray everyday and give thanks


Study the Word (The Bible): The bible is the heart of God, you can’t know God if you don’t study his words. Joshua 1:8: Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (NIV Version). Jesus used the Word to overcome Satan. Matthew 4:3-11. We use the word for spiritual warfare Ephesians 6:10-18. The word of God is alive and active. sharper than a double edge sword Hebrews 4:12. The word of God births righteousness and Holiness (Romans 12:1).



Fasting: Fasting is part of our Worship to God. Jesus Fasted for 40days and 40 nights Matthew 4:2. Jesus addressed the rules and importance of fasting. Matthew 6:16-18


Rebuking: We are allowed to Rebuke as children of God Leviticus 19:17. Rebuking means not sharing the guilt of sin. when we rebuke we must do it with love from our heart. open to correct your brothers and sisters so that they can learn.

Jesus Rebuked the World: John 15:8-19 and James 4:4
Jesus Rebuked Satan: Matthew 4:3-11
Jesus Rebuked the Pharisees: Matthew 23:13-39
Jesus Rebuked Peter: Matthew 16:23
Abraham Rebuked the King of Sodom: 14:21-22


Resist: You must learn how to resist the devil and his plans. James 4:7: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. You can not overcome your flesh and the world if you don’t submit to God. The flesh are your selfish desires that makes you go against the commandments of God. A friend to the world is an Enemy to God. James 4:4.

Flee: 1 corinthians 6:18: Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. To flee means to avoid and to resist. flee….run and avoid sin. Genesis 17:1: When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.

In conclusion, God loves us and wants us to have Eternal Life through his Son Jesus Chris. John 6:42.
