First of all, I'd just like to say that this is all in good fun, its not to make fun of weird or quirky girls! It's picking fun at a movie trope known as "manic pixie dream girl". They are "a type of female character depicted as vivacious and appealingly quirky, whose main purpose within the narrative is to inspire a greater appreciation for life in a male protagonist". Popular examples are Ramona Flowers from "Scott Pilgram vs. The World", Summer from "500 Days of Summer", and Clementine from "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".
