My Own Formula Language
Long hair carries different histories from roots to ends. New growth is often healthier; previously treated lengths need gentler choices. I assess each zone and adapt compatible formulas, pH selection and timing within the product system's instructions. My ratios are my working language, not pH readings. Years of observation help me work consistently while checking each client's response.

For some clients, application and softening take 1.5–2 hours. This is careful, monitored work, not one fixed processing time. My goal is softness, movement and resilience beyond the salon visit.

“Why use an iron when the hair already looks straight?”
Softening prepares the hair; controlled heat helps shape it, followed by neutralization. This earlier stage explains the finish.

Pro Tip for Hairstylists
pH alone does not determine gentleness. Assess condition, product strength and processing together, then tailor heat and tension. Thoughtful preparation supports straight styles, C-curls, S-curls and fuller waves.

A straightening visit may take 3–5 hours; magic setting often takes 4–5. I share my work so more people can find this care. After 27 years, I still study, check and refine—with one wish: that you leave smiling.
