Hi, you! ♥ Durga Puja is coming~ I tried saree on my own to dress a little traditional for tonight's Bengali ASMR, hehe. Today, I'll be talking to you about Pujo and also give you some positive affirmations to excite you for Pujo!

Durga Puja is a 10-day long festival celebrated primarily in West Bengal. The capital of West Bengal, Kolkata, is dolled up glamorously with lights, music, and idols during this time and sees an overall increase in tourism and celebrity visits to experience this grand festival. This festivity is also known by various names in other cultures, and the way it's celebrated differs across cultures too!

UNESCO recognized "Durga Puja in Kolkata" as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2021.

"While Durga Puja is one of the most important festivals of West Bengal, India, it is widely observed across the country and in major cities of the world by the Bengali diaspora. Over the years, the Indian city of Kolkata has emerged as the geographical and cultural heart of the national and global celebrations of the festival." - (UNESCO, 2021)
