Detailed Cranial Nerve Examination for Sleep (Eye Testing, Hearing, Sensation) 🩺 ASMR Medical RP
We're changing the test order today with a top-down approach, starting with the eyes. We've got eye chart reading, color testing, the ophthalmoscope, follow-the-object and eye movement instructions, the finger wiggle test for peripheral vision testing, and then all the way to testing the head and shoulder range of movement & strength for the 11th cranial nerve, the accessory nerve. Since we're now deep in winter (and snow, in Iowa), we've got a few little wintry themes for a couple of the tests as well.

Smell Testing for Cranial Nerve 1: 25:37 – 28:26
Hearing Test with Trigger Objects: 28:26 – 34:09
Cranial Nerves 9, 10, & 12 Testing: 34:09 – 36:20
Sensation Testing with Soft or Dull?: 36:20 – 39:30
Motor Testing for Cranial Nerve 5: 39:30 – 40:52
Facial Expression Testing: 40:52 – 42:24
Range of Movement & Strength Testing: 42:24 – 44:42
Reviewing the Exam: 44:42 – 46:40
Wrapping Up: 46:40 - 47:23
Triggers include: soft speaking, whispering, explaining, eye exam, palpation, light triggers, eye movement instructions, eye chart reading, tapping, color vision testing, plastic sliding sounds, page turning, finger wiggle test, fundoscopy, follow the object, unscrewing lids, smell testing, hearing tests, tinkling bells, wood tapping, cronchy scratchy ribbon, sensation testing, face brushing, expression testing, range of movement testing, and strength testing.
