ASMR Ice Scratching & Tapping

Hello, and welcome to my channel! This is probably the most requested video since I last posted an ice video on February 13th. I decided to make this now, since the weather will soon be warm/hot again, and I don't want the ice melting in minutes lol. This includes slow and gentle scratching and tapping on ice.

I received a lot of comments and questions from my last two ice videos which I wanted to address:

-How does the ice not melt?

I live in a cold climate and I have very cold hands in general. The ice cubes are also quite large, and take longer to melt

-How are the ice cubes so perfectly squared?

I finally show the silicone ice cube tray at the beginning. You can purchase them from Amazon

-Are you recording in a freezer?

No lol The ice cubes are filmed immediately after I retrieve them from the freezer

-Aren't your hands freezing?

My hands do get cold, but for the most part I am just using my nails to tap and scratch on them, and lift my hands off them when I feel it's getting too cold. My hands did not hurt after this

-Why are you scratching so fast? It's too loud.

Aggressive scratching is my favourite trigger, and it relaxes and calms me the most (everyone has different triggers). Many of my subscribers like a combination of fast/aggressive and slow/gentle scratching. This video is the slower and gentler version. Whenever a trigger is fast and aggressive, I make sure to include it in the title or description so there are no surprises. I will continue to do both triggers on my channel

-Why aren't you tapping?

I prefer scratching, and many of my subscribers do too. BUT I also like tapping videos, and I will continue doing tapping as well. I made sure to tap in this, as it was requested from my last one :)

-I wish you ate the ice.

While I do eat ice in real life, I am not comfortable eating on camera. I tried eating videos twice on this channel, but I prefer not to do it (the same goes for my chocolate and sour candy videos)

-This is a creative idea.

I definitely don't want to take credit for this. From my understanding, asmrvilla was one of the first ASMRtist's who has done a tapping/scratching ice video (please correct me if I'm wrong). Her ice videos are amazing (among others), and I want to give her credit for starting a very tingly trend/idea. Check out her channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIKtDOSvV1sjfM5-gto9Dww - I am sure you already know her, though!

Thank you so much for all your comments! :)

Why do I make ASMR?

ASMR has helped me through many difficult times, including stress, inability to fall asleep, anxiety, panic, and depression. I know I cannot cure these for you, but my hope is that I can at the very least help you relax and make your day a little better.

The main purpose of this channel is to relax you, and create a calming environment. Our lives can get extremely busy and stressful, and it's so important to wind down :) Relax, and happy drifting, everyone!
