ASMR Follow the Light | Layered Sounds | No Talking | Hand Movements and Sounds | Experimental

ASMR Sound Waves
Published 3 years ago

Follow the light in complete darkness with layered sounds synced to the lights movements. Sounds include hand sounds, tapping, and fabric sounds. No talking and you'll barely even know I'm there. Sitting in the darkness. Does that sound creeping or sad? I didn't mean it to be either... enjoy the tingles!

Oh, in case it needs to be said, this video contains bright lights, some of them are flashing. If that might cause you any concerns or discomfort, please check out another calming ASMR video. I have a few linked below!

This was actually two experiments:
#1 is follow the light in complete darkness with layered sounds.
#2 is some hand movements in complete darkness using a flashlight to highlight them. Also with layered sounds. I have an opinion about which I like most and definitely want to try again, but I want to know what you all think before I say anything!

What is ASMR? Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. To me, it's a really cool sensation that some of us get in response to some auditory (sound - whispers, tapping, hand sounds) or visual triggers (hand movements, watching someone focus, draw, paint, etc. or personal attention). For some it's a tingling or vibrating feeling often felt in the head, neck, shoulders, and/or back, and can change based on different triggers. It can feel like a brain massage or just a relaxing feeling all over.

Many people use ASMR to sleep. I use ASMR mostly for work - it helps me relax, block out distractions, and focus (usually, sometimes it's a distraction, but at least it's a relaxing distraction!) I've tried to use it for sleep, but I end up actually staying awake because I love to listen to it and can't help but watch. BUT, I hope my ASMR helps those of you who use it for sleep, just as much as it helps someone using it to just relax, zone out, destress, focus, or bring down some anxiety.
