Kidnapped by Kenway | Black Flag Pirate ASMR (Edward Kenway Roleplay)

Straight up, there’s some light innuendo and a bit of flirting in this video. But, as I tried to do my best impression of Edward Kenway, his cheeky chappy persona and playful nature came through a bit too much!

It also made me wonder why I hadn’t done a Kenway roleplay before! And, I don’t think I’ve ever done an Assassin’s Creed ASMR before?! But with Black Flag Resynced coming out next week*, it made sense for me to utilise what is, essentially, my normal face and accent. So, I gave my fellow countryman Matt Ryan’s raspy Canolbarth Cymru accent a go and brushed up on my piratical vernacular.

Here’s the result – a middling Pirate ASMR Roleplay where, after being kidnapped by Captain Edward Kenway on his ship the Jackdaw, you will be interrogated and grilled on pirate trivia to see if you’ve got the ‘salt’ to join the crew, before being lulled to sleep with a tone-deaf ‘sleep shanty’. Enjoy! And happy pirating next week! RIP physical media…

*I was umming and ahhing about getting it (as I was making the costume and then I was like ‘of course you’re gonna get it you f***ing idiot, AC Black Flag is the best AC Full Stop, and the finest pirate game since Sid Meier’s ancient endeavour.

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.

📽 What is FPC? 🎞

FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

Disclaimer: This video is intended for relaxation. Any views, opinions, or advice expressed is purely for the purpose of entertainment, and to induce tingles through ASMR. These videos are not a substitute for traditional medicine, therapy, or any other professional medium, and should not be treated as such! Take all the advice with a pinch of salt, and certainly don’t take it to heart. That being said, please enjoy them, benefit from them, and hopefully get those warm, tingly feelings.
