For 7–8 years, she has trusted me with her hair. About once a month, she takes public transportation to visit—a familiar face, a warm conversation, and another quiet reminder that trust is built through everyday care.

Today: gray root coverage and a thoughtful short haircut refresh.

Her color is a soft, medium-light brown: natural, flattering, and comfortably familiar. Covering gray doesn’t have to mean going very dark. A softer brown can reduce the contrast as silver roots grow in, helping the transition look gentler.
