13 Reasons Why - Skye Does Your Makeup and Sketches You (ASMR Role Play)

A lot of people have been telling me recently that I look like Skye which made me think well, I guess I could RP as her. So I decided to watch season 2 of 13 Reasons Why, having already watched season 1, to remember what she's like and I will be honest. I had a really hard time watching season 1. Season 2 hasn't been much easier and one thing stood out to me. There's a lot of issues addressed in this series and some are addressed in detail and some are brushed over. They bring up cutting with Skye and, while I haven't finished season 2 so maybe this changes, they don't really talk about it other than to let you know that she does this and it's severe enough that she gets hospitalized. This is one of those subjects that so few people can listen about or watch or read about... and very few talk about it. There is SO much stigma. When it does come up, usually in TV/movies, it's used to add some tragic flare to a character they're trying to romanticize. Like this habit creates this soulful tragedy that is supposed to let us know that hey, this person is mentally unwell. So much stigma.

Mental health issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, self harm... if you don't talk about them, they just fester. When we talk about them, with the right people, that connection can be healing or at least it can take the power away from the problem. When you talk, things do feel better. Maybe not forever but... we do learn we have the ability to talk and connect over them.
