My Own Formula Language
Long hair carries different histories along its length. Previously treated sections need choices that reflect their condition, especially toward the ends.

I assess the hair and adapt compatible formulas, pH selection and timing within the product system’s instructions. My ratios are my working language, not pH readings. Years of observation help me make consistent choices while checking each client’s response.

Careful preparation supports the curl work that follows. Rod size, sectioning, placement and winding tension all contribute to the shape. Heating and neutralization also require attention to the hair’s condition and the product system being used.

For this client, my aim was soft, springy S-curls through the lower lengths, with a flowing shape that comes into view as the hair is dried and finished.

From the first rod to the final reveal, every section receives my attention. The finished result is a moment to see the work come together—and to share that moment with my client.
