This was one of those impromptu creations that felt right in that very moment. I love old things, maybe because I am also an old thing and old things have experience, wisdom and a lifetime of memories and experiences beneath their belt, or some such nonsense but it is silly o'clock and I do need to find sleep and my little blankie thing which is actually an old soft tshirt that I like to rub on my face. Oh dear. Wearing my Victorian shirt that would typically have been worn as an undergarment, along with bloomers, although my bloomers were on the chair and not on me. Therein lies another story. Who would have thought that it would be desirable to wear someone's old underwear? I hardly think that will apply to some of the skimpy drawers of today. I digress. The skirt is by one of my absolute favourite designers and is incredibly heavy, as might be apparent by the fact that it was hard to keep it up without the belt. I would usually wear this in the winter with a big floppy sweater and some old leather boots. But we are in the middle of a heatwave and big sweaters are reserved for the cooler days...that I am currently longing for so very much indeed.
