8 Minute Meditation Exercise

In this video I am going to share a short and easy meditation exercise that you can incorporate into your daily routine. It lasts approximately 8 mins and to get the benefits of meditation (listed below) you need to try and practice it 5 out of 7 days.
As you need to be fully awake and alert to experience the benefits of meditation, do this exercise sitting down, either on a straight back chair or crossed legged on the floor. Make sure that you won’t be disturbed. Don’t expected to necessarily feel relaxed after the meditation. Although relaxation is sometimes a secondary benefit of meditation it is not the point. The point of meditation is to, over time, train your mind to see the world as it is, rather than through the lens of your past experiences, which can distort what is actually happening and have a negative impact on your physical and emotional well-being.
Proven benefits of meditation include:
Physical: improved immune function, reduced pain, reduce inflammation at the cellular level, which reduce risk of Cancer, Heart Disease, Alzheimers and Diabetes.
Psychological: increased positive emotion, reduce depression, anxiety and stress, improved control of emotions, improved focus, memory, creativity and ability to multi-task.
